- 1 kg granny smith apples(peeled,cored and sliced
- 1-2 tspn cinnamon powder
- 2/3 cups sultanas
- 3 - 4 Tbls caster sugar
- 1 x packet of ready -made puff or flaky pastry
- 1 x egg (lightly beaten with fork )
- 1 x icing sugar(mixed with vanilla sugar)
1)Preheat the oven to 200 C
2)In bowl mix apples with cinnamon,sultanas and sugar,transfer into saucepan and cook that until …..bit softer.Cool,leave aside.
3)Lay the round spring form baking pan with room temperature pastry,add cool apples mixture,brush the edges ( the top ) with egg and cover with pastry.With knife make holes or with fork on top of it.
4)Put into oven and cook for about 30 – 35 minutes or until golden.
