  • 500 g fresh brussels sprouts
  • 300 g bacon or ham
  • 1-2 clove garlic(crushed)
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)


1) Cut the bacon or ham into very small pieces and fry in fraying pan on medium heat until change colour,then add garlic stir and cook …..1 minute.

2) Wash and trim the brussels sprouts and cut into quartes and add to bacon,stir,pour in 3/4 cup water and cook until soft or water evaporated .Season with pepper and salt.Taste and see,if anything need to be added.

3)Serve as side dish with mashed potatoes and any cooked meat.

PS.This is really tasty side dish,but,if you like it brussels sprouts.
