  • 2 tspn salt
  • 600 g plain flour or laucke bread mix
  • 1 x small egg whisked with ....bit of milk
  • 3 tspn dry yeast
  • 2 Tbls melted butter ( cooled )
  • 1 x jar of sesame seeds or your favorite seeds
  • 500 ml buttermilk ( room temperature )
  • 150 ml water lukewarm


1) Sift flour into a bowl add salt,dissolved yeast in water and buttermilk,make nice elastic dough.Cover with cooking plastic foil and leave on warm spot to rise,then transfer the dough on floured working surface and knead again for …..1 minutes.Make a log and cut 10 – 12 same size pieces of the dough.With hands make buns.Place them on lightly greased baking tray,brush each with melted,cooled butter,then with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or your favourite seeds.Again leave to rise ( 40 mins )

2) Preheat oven to 180 C and bake the buns until golden brown.
