Ingredients

  • 125 g unsalted butter( room temperature )
  • 75 g caster sugar
  • 1 x egg
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 1 tspn baking powder
  • 1 Tbls cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbls milk
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 3 tspn cocoa powder
  • 50 g extra unsalted butter

Method

1)In bowl mix with electric mixer 125 g butter and sugar until you will have cream,add egg,mix well,then sift in all dry ingredients and mix.

2)Lightly grease baking tray,dust with continental flour,pour the mixture and put into preheated oven on 180 C,bake 15 – 20 minutes or until set it center.

3)For topping place icing sugar into a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water,add boiling milk,butter and cocoa.Stir slowly until you get smooth mixture.Spread on top on cake.

4)Serve with your favor tea or coffee.

  • yum, love chocolate cakes, can’t resist but I always blame hormones for it :) )
    Anna, did you want to write instruction under step 3, to beat/mix ingredients for icing or you really boil it. I would like to make it today but need one more thing: dimensions of baking pan please, warm regards
