  • 2,5 cups wholemeal atta flour
  • 1,5 cup ground almond
  • 5 Tbls dutch cinnamon
  • 3 Tbls ground ginger
  • 90-100 g dairy free margarine
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 5-7 Tbls vanilla sugar
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tspn dutch cinnamon

Add the flour, almonds, cinnamon, raw sugar, vanilla sugar, ginger into a bowl and mix well. Add the cold margarine and mix together with your fingers until you get a smooth dough — if it should be to crumbly — add a bit of water and more flour. When ready roll the dough into foil and refridgerate for 30 min or longer.

When ready roll out the dough (1cm thick) — take a star shaper and make the stars. Lay some baking paper on the tray and put on the stars —
preheat your oven to 170C° and bake the star’s for 10 min.

You probably have enough dough for 2 tray’s so when you get out the finish baked ones — get in the second tray and also bake for 10 min.

Let the stars cool out and prepare the glaze!

For the glaze mix icing sugar, approx 1,5 cups, with 3-5 tbsp of dutch cinnamon and 1 tbsp of vanilla sugar. Add a little bit of Soy milk or whatever non dairy milk you like and mix to a smooth, thick glaze.

When the stars are cooled out, dip them into the cinnamon glaze with one side. Put them back on baking paper and a plate or better a cutting board. Sprinkle on top a little bit of vanilla sugar and put them for 10 min in the fridge to let the glaze harden.

Thats it — put them into a nice Christmas cooki box and ENJOY :-)
