- 2 x diced garlic cloves
- 1 Tbls cumin
- 1 Tbls sugar

My kids love this meal. It is easy and affordable to make. Even the toughest cut of meat can be softened so it falls apart in your mouth.
1- Heat oil in heavy based pot.
2- Fry onion and garlic in the pot until starting to brown. Add cumin and continue frying for 2-5 minutes
3-Add beef and continue until the meat is brown
4-Add Soy sauce, water, Vinegar and sugar to the pot. Stir and cover.
5-Simmer for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, checking and stirring as needed. Add extra water as needed.
6-Thicken sauce with 1 teaspoon of corn flour
7-Serve on white rice with fresh steamed vegetables.
Can also be served with plain yogurt and pappadums

Great recipe! Love braised beef and I bet this would work a treat in the slow cooker too.
