- 5 x oranges
- 1 x lemon
- 1 x banana
- 1 x sliver of ginger
- 5 x carrots
- 8 x cubes of ice (or two handfuls)
- 1 x enough water to cover the blade of the blender
- 1 x big bunch of kale, washed
Blend the kale, water and banana together in a blender – we want to keep the fiber from the kale which is why it’s not going into the juicer. Really puree this mix so that it is a bright green and there aren’t any big chunks of kale.
Get out the ol’ juicer and prepare the carrot, lemon, orange and ginger to go in. Most of the carrots need to be cut in half and the citrus and ginger will need to be peeled. Juice them all together.
Pour the juice and the ice into the blender with the kale and banana mixture.
Whip it around the blender until the ice has been chopped and it’s ready to drink.
Drink with your nose plugged or chug it very quickly – your body will thank you.
After a few times making this you might want to increase or decrease ingredients based on your tastebuds. The kale is very bitter so be sure to add other yummy things to offset this. Also, the recipe above makes about 4 glasses so play around with the ingredients if it’s just for one person.

I drank this, this morning… the kale was a bit strong at first but the aftertaste was delicious! I want another!
And it makes your skin glow (apparently!)
