Ingredients

  • 600 g laucke bread mix ( including yeast )
  • 1 x egg (lightly beaten with fork )
  • 1 x jar of strawberry jam
  • 1 x sachet of vanilla sugar ( 8 g )
  • 425 ml warm water
  • 1 x bottle of oil ( to fry )
  • 1 cup extra plain flour( for dusting bench)
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 2 pinches caster sugar

Method

1)Sift flour (bread- mix ) into bowl,in another small bowl dissolve yeast with …bit of water and 2x pinch of sugar and 1 tablespoon plain flour.Leave to rise.Pour this into bread -mix,add egg and water and make nice and elastic dough.If need more flour add it,if need more water add it,but not to much.Cover and leave at warm place to rise.

2)Dust working surface with plain flour,transfer dough on and roll out into 5-6 mm thick.Cut small square and fill each one with strawberry jam.Stick the corners together and leave on working surface to rise.

3)In deep saucepan heat oil on high and then put in one by one( the doughnut),turn heat down and fry them slowly until brown and golden.Put on paper towel,to take it the excess of oil.

4)Serve hot or cold dusted with icing sugar mixed with vanilla sugar.You can serve as well with ice cream this.Kids will love it.
