  • 1 kg calamari cleaned and cut into rings
  • 3 x eggs
  • 2 cups bread crumb
  • 1 tspn onion powder
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 cup parmesan
  • 2-3 x lemons cut into wedges
  • 1 cup flour


1- MIx the bread crumb, parsley,onion powder, parmesa and salt in a large bowl.
2- Crack the egg and lightly whisk.
3- After thoroughly cleaning the calamari tubes cut into rings and dip into the flour. (you can also toss them in a small plastic bag)
4- dip the calamari in the egg followed by the bread crumb mixture and repeat until all the calamari is finished.
5- Heat the oil (I use my deep fryer)
6- Shake off any excess crumbs and fry the calamari.
7- Once they are golden all over mound onto a platter and serve with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
