  • 800 g cooked peeled potatoes in salty water
  • 400 g plain flour
  • 3 x eggs(lightly beaten just with fork) )
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 2 x frozen chopped spinach(250g each)
  • 1 x packet of hans knackwurst (500 g )
  • 1 x extra egg (lightly beaten with fork )
  • 2 Tbls corn flour
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 x brown onion(finely chopped)
  • 1 x pinch salt
  • 1 x pinch pepper
  • 1 x oil in spray


1)The cooked potatoes grate on smallest holes on grater,put in bowl and add flour,eggs and salt and make dough.

2)Dust bench with extra flour and put dough on and roll out,make oblong 1cm thick.Cut with plastic knife strips about 30 cm long and 2.5 cm wide and turn around a knackwurst.

3)Spray baking tray with oil and put on the knackwurst.Brush with beaten egg and bake on 200 C or until gold.Serve with spinach and fried onion on top of it.

4)Frozen spinach put into microwave safe dish,cover and cook 4 minutes or until soft.Meanwhile in pan fry onions until nice and gold.Save some of, for top of knackwurst.Add the spinach in, and half of corn flour mixed with water,stir and cook 1 minute, make it the spinach thicker.Season with salt and pepper.Taste and see if anything need to be added.

5)Serve on a plate with spinach and onion on top of it.
