- 2 cups cooked rice
- 3 x green chillies
- 1 x dried red chilli
- 2 Tbls urad dal
- 2 Tbls split gram
- 1 tspn mustard seeds
- 2 Tbls peanuts
- 1 tspn turmeric powder
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 pinch asfoetida
- 3 Tbls lemon juice (adjust to taste)
Add salt and lemon juice to the cooked rice and set aside.
Heat the 4 tbls oil in a large frying pan.
Add the following in the order
groundnuts/Peanuts (fry them for a minute), Split Gram, urad dal, red chillies, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, and turmeric.
And before switching off add asfoetida .
Now add this mixture to the rice.And let it rest for 5 mts.
