  • 200-300 g beef (cut in chunks)
  • 100 g smoked pork chops
  • 100 g gammon
  • 100 g smoked sausages
  • 100 g smoked chicken
  • 100 g ham
  • 100 g bacon
  • 5 Tbls tomato paste
  • 2 Tbls butter
  • 4 Tbls olive oil
  • 2 x onions
  • 1 x carrot
  • 2-3 x pickled cucumbers

1. Start with the meat cooking. In a large pot of water, drop your meat, bring to a boil and skim all the foam that forms on top during this process. In an hour add 1 onion, 1 carrot and 1 bay leaf, a few black pepper corns and parsley and boil until the carrot will be ready (at least 45-60 minutes)
2. Remove the carrot and meat
3. Preheat a pan with oil or butter, add onion and carrot cut in cubes and stir until transparent, but not browned
4. Cut pickled cucumbers and add to onions and carrot, then add 4-5 tablespoons of tomato, stir and put it in the hot broth
5. Cut all sorts of meat you have prepared and add in a pan with oil or butter just for some minutes, stir it and put in the hot broth and boil 15-20 minutes
6. Then add salt (no so much, taste it not to get saulty base), pepper (black and red), capers, 1 bay leaf and fresh herbs – parsley or dill cubes small
7. Turn off the heat, close the pan with a lid and leave it for 20 min
8. Before serving, add a table spoon of sour cream (optional), olives and lemon slices in the plate

  • Ruben, I think the office would prefer a roast chicken.
