  • 300 g yellow noodles
  • 800 g big prawn
  • 250 g tomatoes diced
  • 5 cloves garlic (peeled, chopped)
  • 6 Tbls tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbls sugar
  • 1.5 Tbls chili paste
  • 4 x leaves lettuce (thinly sliced)
  • 2 x hard boiled eggs
  • 400 ml water
  • 5 Tbls cooking oil
  • 1 Tbls light soy sauce
  • 1 pinch salt to taste


Blend the diced tomatoes with water. Set aside.

Blanch the yellow noodles. Set aside.

Heat oil in a wok, saute garlic until fragrant. Add prawns and soy sauce stir fry for a minute. Pour in the tomato puree. Add tomato sauce and chili paste. Bring the gravy to simmer.

Add sugar and salt to taste.

Add yellow noodles to the simmering gravy and mix well.

Serve up with lettuce and eggs.

  • This is very similar to our Filipino dish called “Palabok”. I love hard boiled eggs in a dish…this look delicious!
