  • 500 g pork mince
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 L onion(sliced)
  • 4 x bread rolls(soaked in milk)
  • 500 ml milk
  • 4-5 cloves garlic(crushed)
  • 300 g bacon or salami(cut to smaller cubes)
  • 3 L eggs(lightly beaten)
  • 1/3 cup oregano
  • 1-2 tspn salt
  • 1 tspn pepper
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 x oil in spray


1)In big bowl mix both mince,add onion,soaked bread rolls,garlic,bacon or salami,eggs,oregano,salt,pepper and bread-crumbs and mix well all together.Taste and see if anything need to be added.

2)Transfer the mixture to non-stick cooking fluted ring,but first spray it inside and dust with bread-crumbs all over.

3)Cook in oven on 160 C about 1.5 hour

4)Let to cool and cut that next day.Serve with cooked potatoes or potatoes chips and some salad.

  • Interesting take on your basic meatloaf! However, can’t find the boiled egg (see picture) in the recipe.
