- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 Tbls dry yeast
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 kg beef mince
- 1 cup grated onion
- 1 tspn paprika
- 1 tspn black pepper
- 1 handful grated capsicum
- 1 handful parsley
- 2 x lemons
- 5 sprigs spring onion
Mix the sugar and yeast in a small bowl adding the warm water.
Add it into the sifted flour and salt. Knead for 5 minutes until you have a dough add more water if necessary. Place it into a large bowl with a lid. Set aside until the dough doubles in size. (this could take up to an hour)
Meanwhile mix the mince, onion, paprika, black pepper and capsicum getting the filling ready.
Once the dough has risen cut into equal sized balls the size of an egg. Place them on a floured surface under a tea towel that is semi wet.
Place a ball of dough on a floured surface and roll on a flat surface about 1 cm thick.
Spread a thin equal layer of mince on top and cook in a pizza maker making sure both dough and filling is cooked serve with parsley spring onion and lemon.
If you do not have the time to make the dough a quick alternative could be lebanese bread.
