This is a pasta sauce what is used in my family for the last 55 years! Its so simple to cook and I simply love it. My uncle past away 38 years ago but his recipe still remains in our family :-)

Cut the nutmeat in small cubes. Chop the onion and garlic and also prepare the gherkins – cut in small cubes.

Heat some sunflower oil into a pot and start with the nutmeat. Fry for 5 min and turn on each side. When slightly golden brown, add the onion and garlic. Fry for further 3 min. Deglaze with a spash of water and also add the gherkins. Stir well. Add the passata tomato and ketchup. Season with paprika powder, black pepper and seasalt. Let it simmer for 10 min and turn off the heat. Give it a rest of 15 min. Cook the spaghetti and plate up. I topped it with vegan parmesan, but it actually is great the way it is! ENJOY
