- 500 g potatoes (boiled in water with skin)
- 250 pinches plain flour
- 2 x eggs(lightly beaten just with fork) )
- 1 pinch salt
- 300 g smoked meat (cut into small pieces )
- 1 x brown onion(finely chopped)
- 1-2 clove garlic(crushed)
- 1 x oil for fry
1)Cooked and cold potatoes peel and grate on grater on bigger holes.Keep in the bowl.Add flour,eggs and salt and make dough.Transfer the dough on clean working surface little bit dusted with flour.With rolling pin roll out the dough into 6-7mm high.
2)In frying pan heat little bit of oil on medium heat add onion,garlic and smoked meat,fry for about 5- 10 minutes.Leave to cool then spread that over dough.First roll up the sides,then the rest of dough.Transfer the roullade on heavy duty cloth wiper,the ends tight up with kitchen string.
3In large saucepan bring water to boil,put roullade in and cook for about 15 minutes on medium low heat,but water must be still boiled.When is cooked,remove the cloth wiper and leave to cool.(will be better for cutting )
4)Serve with cooked spinach or sauerkraut and on top of it caramelized onion
