- 2 cups vermicelli
- 2 Tbls butter
- 1 x onion (finely chopped)
- 1 cup mixed vegetable
- 2 x cloves
- 2 x cardamom crushed
- 1/2 x ginger
- 3 x green chillies
- 2 Tbls oil
- 1/2 tspn mustard seed
- 1 x tomato chopped finely
Roast vermicelli(semiya) in butter till they turn light brown in color.
In the same pan add oil and let it heat , add the mustard seeds and let them splutter. add cloves,cardamom and curry leaves and saute them for 10 secs.
Add ginger saute for few mins and then onion and saute it till it turn light brown,add tomatoes and saute it till they are soft.
Once onion turn soft,add mixed vegetables toss them till the gravy is coated,add salt accordingly and leave it uncovered for 2 mts.
Add 4 cups of water and roasted vermicelli to the onion-tomato mixture,
mix it lightly and see that no lumps form and it combines well.
Leave it uncovered and stir occasionally,till the vermicelli is cooked.
Have it with chicken patties…
