  • 1 cup unsalted butter( room temperature )
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 2 1/2 - 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tspn vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 300 g extra icing sugar
  • 3 Tbls hot water
  • 3 Tbls lemon juice
  • 1 x blue rainbow food colour
  • 1 x green rainbow food colour
  • 1 x yellow rainbow food colour
  • 1 x red rainbow food colour


1)In bowl mix flour and salt.In another bowl mix butter with sugar and vanilla essence until get light fluffy mixture.Add flour and salt,but in small amount at a time,with your hand make dough.

2)Transfer the dough onto floured surface and roll out to 1/2 cm thicker.With cooking cutter cut eggs or any shape you want.Put them on baking tray and bake until nice and golden brown.Cool.

3)Decorating glaze:In bowl mix together 300 g of icing sugar with hot water and lemon juice.Separate the white glaze into small bowls and add into each bowl few drops of food colour and mix well.Transfer the glaze into small plastic bag,cut corner and decorate the eggs.Leave in fridge until ready to eat them.
