- 1 x packet of spaghetti
- 3 x carrots ( peeled and cut to 1/2 cm thick )
- 1 x red onions (chopped)
- 200 g white cabbage ( chopped with knife )
- 1 x red capsicum (cut to strips )
- 1 x green capsicum, chopped
- 3 tspn chicken stock powder
- 4 Tbls olive oil for fry
- 500 g sliced chorizo
- 2 pinches salt
- 2 pinches white pepper
- 100 ml water (mixed with corn flour )
- 2 Tbls corn flour
- 3/4 cups water
- 1/2 tspn turmeric
- 1 Tbls extra oil
1)Spaghetti cook ….10minutes in salty water with one tablespoon oil and turmeric(you will get beautiful yellow colour),strain trough sieve and keep in bowl.Don’t rinse.
2)In pan heat oil on medium heat,add carrots and cook until you get orange colour,add cabbage,stir and cook ….2minutes.Pour in water,add chicken stock powder,onion,both capsicum,stir and cook.When is vegetable half cooked pour in water with corn flour make it ….bit thicker.Take it off from stove,but keep warm.
3)In another pan cook sliced chorizo (5 – 10min. ) until start oil come from,keep turning each slice.Transfer the chorizo to vegetables and mix well,then put this into spaghetti, season with salt and pepper and again mix well.Taste and see,if anything need to be added.
4)Serve on a plate
PS.This meal is …..bit different,no sauce as usually,but taste great and it is quick,and cheap.
