  • 1/4 x pumpkin peeled
  • 1 x potato peeled
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 x onion
  • 2 L water
  • 1 tspn bladk pepper
  • 1 tspn paprika (mild or hot)
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 2 Tbls butter
  • 1 Tbls plain flour


1- Add the water, roughly diced pumpkin, potato, onion, garlic in a pot and cook for 20-30 minutes until all ingredients are cooked and tender
2- using a blender, blend the ingredients until you have a smooth and creamy.

3- In a separate pot melt the butter. Once melted add the flour and cook for a minute stirring constantly.

4- Gradually add the pumpkin stock, mixing constantly to make sure you do not have any lumps. (If there are lumps you can always blend it again)

5- Add the black pepper, paprika and salt.

6- Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.

7- Serve the pumpkin soup hot with some drizzled cream.
