Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 2 cups brwn sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted , plain flour
  • 1/2 tspn bicarb soda
  • 4 x eggs
  • 300 g chopped dates
  • 2 tspn bicarb soda , extra
  • 30 g buter , melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup cream

Method

Cream buter and sugar , add flour , bicarb then add eggs one at a time .
Boil dates with extra bicarb .
Combine dates ro flour mixture then cook for 50mins in pre-heated oven at 160C.
SAUCE- Melt butter and brown sugar , once sugar is dissolved add cream pour sauce over the sticky date puddings serve with ice-cream,
