Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup split moong dal
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetable of choice
  • 1/2 tspn grated ginger
  • 1 tspn cumin seeds
  • 1 tspn corsley grinder pepper powder
  • 4 tspn ghee or clarified butter
  • 2 x cloves
  • 1 x cinnamon
  • 2 x crushed cinnamons
  • 1 tspn garam masala

Method

Soak rice and Moong dal together in 2 cups of water.

Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker ..Once heated add cumin seeds,Cloves,cinnamon,corriander .

fry them for 10 seconds and add grated ginger and fry for more 30 secs .

Add the vegetables and the remaining ingredients, mix well .
Add the rice mixture and pressure cook for whistles.

Sprinkle some chopped coriander while serving.
