- 1/2 cup split moong dal
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1 cup mixed vegetable of choice
- 1/2 tspn grated ginger
- 1 tspn cumin seeds
- 1 tspn corsley grinder pepper powder
- 4 tspn ghee or clarified butter
- 2 x cloves
- 1 x cinnamon
- 2 x crushed cinnamons
- 1 tspn garam masala
Soak rice and Moong dal together in 2 cups of water.
Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker ..Once heated add cumin seeds,Cloves,cinnamon,corriander .
fry them for 10 seconds and add grated ginger and fry for more 30 secs .
Add the vegetables and the remaining ingredients, mix well .
Add the rice mixture and pressure cook for whistles.
Sprinkle some chopped coriander while serving.
